My Search Begins

       Several years ago I started searching for my search about making Aliyah.  My step-daughter lives in Israel and we cannot afford to visit often due to the high cost of airfare.  Once my children got older, I now have 4 byh, I struggled to pay tuition costs even the minimal amount. We decided that moving to Israel would allow us to both be near family and avoid sending our children to public school. Every time I went to visit Israel, I hated to leave and always was sad as I traveled back to Ben Gurion. 
         As I began my search I realized a few problems. First of all I don't speak Hebrew which makes it hard to understand many of the websites and impossible to talk on the phone with many people.  In addition, I found it very difficult, even with the internet, to find a wealth of information. Many places I wanted information about such as schools did not have websites and most real estate ads did not have pictures included in their listings.  I, also, do not have hardly any savings to use once I arrive. Therefore, I decided that moving will entail a great deal of sacrifice economically to live below our means if we wish this to work.  Please join me on my journey as we sojourn Israel on $5 a day.
